Dr. Vanessa Jalbert-Caputo, Chiropractor

“I was born in Sault Ste-Marie and raised in Sudbury, Ontario, where I began my studies. During my high school years, I quickly realized that I have a huge passion for health, fitness, and nutrition and that I wanted to help people live a healthy lifestyle.”

Dr. Vanessa sees her patients as an entire being, not a symptom. “By taking pressure off of the nervous system, the body is then capable of healing and functioning at 100%.”

She wants our community to experience lifelong health and is committed to helping each patient achieve it. Dr. Vanessa looks forward to becoming a part of your journey to health and wellness!

When Dr. Vanessa’s younger sister was diagnosed with scoliosis at just 11 years old, their family was introduced to chiropractic care for the first time.

During that very first visit, Dr. Vanessa discovered how powerful chiropractic truly is—how the nervous system controls and coordinates every function in the body, and how adjustments can help restore balance and improve health.

That experience was life-changing. She began shadowing local chiropractors, witnessing firsthand how patients of all ages were experiencing relief, healing, and transformation.

From that moment on, Dr. Vanessa knew this was her calling—and she’s been dedicated to helping others through chiropractic care ever since.

Family is at the heart of everything Dr. Vanessa does. Becoming a mom has given her an even deeper appreciation for the importance of health, balance, and support, especially during pregnancy, postpartum, and the busy seasons of motherhood.

Outside the clinic, you’ll often find her soaking up time with her daughter Scarlett, staying active at the gym, or exploring the city with family and friends.

She understands firsthand the challenges and joys of motherhood, and she’s passionate about helping other moms (and their families) feel their best through chiropractic care.

Dr. Vanessa’s journey into chiropractic began at Laurentian University, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education with a focus on Promotion de la Santé (Health Promotion).

She then followed her passion south, packing up her life to study at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Florida.

(And yes, trading Canadian winters for Florida sunshine was a welcome bonus!)

After earning her Doctor of Chiropractic degree, she began her career in Tampa, Florida, specializing in structural correction chiropractic care. She had the privilege of caring for patients of all ages—from just a few hours old to well into their 90s.

While she loved her time in the U.S., Dr. Vanessa’s heart remained in Canada and close to her family. That calling brought her home to Ontario, where she joined Oaktree Chiropractic & Acupuncture.

As both a chiropractor and a mom, Dr. Vanessa has a special passion for supporting women through pregnancy, and the early stages of motherhood. She knows firsthand the physical and emotional changes that come with this season of life and is committed to helping moms (and their families) move, heal, and thrive.

She is proud to be a member of the College of Chiropractors of Ontario and to serve her community with compassionate, family-focused care.
