What to Expect At Your First Visit

Never tried acupuncture before? Here’s what happens during your first session:

Step 1: Initial Consult (10-15m)

Your acupuncturist will ask about your health history, current symptoms, and treatment goals. They may check your pulse or look at your tongue to identify where your body needs support.

Step 2: Acu-Treatment (20-30m)

Small, hair-thin needles are placed at specific points on your body. Most people describe the sensation as a mild tingling or warmth, not pain. Many patients relax enough to fall asleep during treatment.

Step 3: After

You might feel immediate relief, or you might notice gradual improvement over the next few days. We’ll create a treatment schedule tailored to your condition, typically starting weekly, then spacing sessions out as you improve.

I've been going to the clinic since the end of April, starting with a choropractic assessment. I'd been having severe leg pain and physio wasn't helping. From the moment you walk in to the clinic, the atmosphere is amazing. The front desk staff are wonderful, welcoming, helpful. I met with Dr. Emilie, I did not feel rushed.
