Oaktree Health Challenge – Sprinting!

This week we challenge you to get your juices flowing and ‘burst into spring’

Did you know that burst sprinting can help you lose weight faster then jogging? Short and fast bursts of running have been proven to be more effective than hour-long jogs.

If you can’t run, you can do your sprint workout on a bike or swimming. The idea is to go full out for a short duration.

For this challenge, we want you to do 2 sprint workouts in a week

Here is what you need to do:

  1. Run for 25 sec full
  2. Walk for 2 min
  3. Repeat 8 times

If you really want to up the ante, try 8-second bursts followed by a 12-second recovery phase for a total of 20 minutes, three times a week! That will gain you not only a fit and healthy body, but an A+++ on this challenge!
